mouseymick I disagree with no 3 .....20 mins
3 - I say 1 minute.

20 printers = 20 books
20 books = 20 minutes

thus

1 book per minute
Tuvok and Mousy Mick, it is definitely 20 minutes

20 printers 20 books 20 minutes
If you had 120 printers (6 times as many) and you still wanted to print 20 books, it would take you 1/6 of the time = 20/6 = 3 minutes 40 seconds
Now if you wanted to increase the volume of books required to 120, (6 fold) and you still had those 120 printers, it would take you 6 times as long ie 3 minutes 40 seconds x 6 = 20 minutes

If you had 120 printers and wanted to print 120 books it would take you 20 minutes.

Definitely 20 minutes

Each individual printer is taking 20 minutes to print a single book, never mind how many printers. A 1000 printers could be on the go doing a book each, still be twenty minutes per book

Thank you all so much
I think 1 is 480.
Oops. It is 490.
I'll stick to my suggestion of 1 minute per book, as the questions does not say EACH printer.

I read it as a total of 20 printers take a total of 20 minutes to produce a total of 20 books.
3 Maybe the ambiguity Tuvok sees would have been avoided if the wording was:
It takes 20 minutes for 20 printers to print 20 books. How many minutes does it take for 120 printers to print 120 books?
