i think the writer is spot on, and not disingenuous in his view.

" I believe biological reality exists." - indeed, end of!
‘ Suddenly, everywhere you looked, women were being erased, insulted or endangered. ’

Bleedin snowflakes.

it all reminds me of the movie Inherit the Wind...sort of.
I don't loathe anyone for holding their views and putting them over calmly and clearly as he appears to be doing (haven't read much about him in the past though).

Those who do have closed minds.
I like how he tries to shore-up his opinions by telling us he wrote father ted. Ohhhh, right, so I must respect your defence of the snowflake generation then!
Honestly....anyone who’s psychologically affected by people who attempt to say that society is in danger of collapsing because some spineless cretins curl up in a corner and sob because someone insults them is themselves devaluing us as a species.
A reasoned and very sensible piece by Linehan.

Only the rabid would have issue with it.....
Zacs//he tries to shore-up his opinions by telling us he wrote father ted. Ohhhh, right, so I must respect your defence of the snowflake generation//

I don’t think Linehan is defending the ‘snowflake generation’, is he?
He seems to have a more traditional view that men are men and women are women.
He clearly said: I believe women are females. I believe everyone should be able to present themselves as they wish. He also said: The thought crime for which I have been tried and found guilty is that I believe biological reality exists.

He is right on every count.

You can present how you like but it doesn’t change biological reality.

What more could be said?
Didn't read it all, but seemed valid enough. One point I'd expand though. It's one thing to present yourself as you wish, but there's a responsibility not to attract an intimate mate who later suddenly discovers they've been fooled into a homosexual relationship when they are straight. A horrific situation that may have all sorts of consequences. It's important that whilst living as one wishes one doesn't end up abusing another as a result.
Linehan has, for years, been the most aggressive PC bore.
It's a case of the biter bit.
I think he's mixing arguments up here. Attacking people is wrong no matter what the pretext...the prisoner known as Karen would surely have been violent whatever she/he was called?
not saying that people don't misuse gender issues because...well....people....but apparently science is discovering its a complicated process https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/sex-redefined-the-idea-of-2-sexes-is-overly-simplistic1/

The other thing that I notice is that he aims his article about men who feel that they are women. I wonder if he feels the same about women who say they are men?
Woof, science has known of chimaeraim for a very long time. It's nothing new, and nothing to do with transgender, it's one form of intersex, that's all.
