Thursday. A big, bright moon is shining and playing peek-a-boo among the clouds. According to my wee Kindle weather ap, lots of on and off rain today. I won't be spending much time outside then! Not a lot to do inside, so a lazy day. I can cope with that.

Looks wet and windy outside think some pottering around inside today, and lay a fire, for later.

i think that what i will be doing, though no need for any fire, as it's too warm.

i get that, i miss my coal fire, it used to look lovely when roaring on a cold winter's night. I only got rid of it because i was spending 11 quid a week for coal, and couldn't really afford it.

and the fact i got smoked out, not having the chimney swept was the cause.

Morning all, off to Newcastle to meet a childhood friend for a coffee this morning, weather is a big unkind so time to wrap up well

mmm the smoking out thing happened to us once, the day after I had chimney swept for some obscure reason, never rationally explained, Jen thought all her birthdays came at once being awoken by husky fireman in full kit.

I get chimney swept twice a year, always a chance of a bird building a nest.
