Boris Johnson said "Children of Single Mothers are Ill raised, Ignorant , Aggresive, and Illegitimate" I know this is old news but he still said it.

Well, my daughter has just become a single mum (through no fault of her own - husband decided that 1) prozzies and 2) 15 yrs. younger version of my daughter was more fun) and life is bl***y difficult so it is unsurprising that the children do not get the same attention. I am doing my utmost to ensure tables and spelling basics are being seen to (I'm not very popular with the kids!). In a way Boris has it right, my grandson has become aggressively defensive and hard to deal with (I'll win in the end) but there simply is not enough time for one person to see to all aspects of child-raising. I think it is a case that what he said was probably right for some - but very wrong for others. So it can be argued both ways.
I was a single mother when my child was young, and he turned out perfectly well.
PerhapsJohnson should look out for his own children and their single mothers.
Maybe he should tell us how many children that is?
I’m not sure he knows, diddlydo
Cloverjo - was your child born into a single-parent family? I think that that may make a difference. My grandson's first reaction (that I heard) to his parents separating was to scream 'I thought we were happy!' It is really all terribly difficult at the moment. He is a very unhappy and confused little boy - loves his dad, quite likes new partner as a person (she's pushing the boat out) but feels that it is all not 'right'. Tricky. Perhaps this should be on another thread. :)

Gulliver, it appears the mother sought an injunction, not Boris.

Re the OP; if BJ said that, I would suggest he said it with an element of ignorance. Ill raised?; Ignorant?; Aggressive? These are not things that can be calculated with statistics. Saying they are illegitimate is merely confirmation of the first four words. This man is a sensationalist and a proven liar and clearly has a prejudiced view of certain sections of society.
