If a property is a slum only a stupid tenant would rent it. Tenants turn properties into slums by neglecting & damaging them. Few tenants know how to 'keep house' & expect landlords to do their laundry, cleaning & gardening. My last tenant removed all interior doors, spin dryer in lounge, clothes on rads causing black mould, animal faeces indoors, motor oil in bath & carpets, smashed front & back doors, broken windows etc. Completely wrecked flat which cost £6k to repair & left owing 4mts rent.
