How do roaming charges work in the EU?
Sailing on Thursday for a few days in Amsterdam and Antwerp, havnt got a clue about how roaming charges work. Will I need to put my mobile on airplane mode?
(Never been out of the country before with a mobile phone)
Thanks

Sorry.. Turnign on aeroplane mode will disable the wifi, but if you turn the wifi back on, it won't turn aeroplane mode off. That is the same for bluetooth.
It doesn’t currently do it on my phone.
Which is odd. But then as I said before maybe it’s a “feature” of this phone.
Nailit, if you're likely to want to use your mobile while abroad, make sure that your package allows it and that International Calling is not barred, it will be difficult to arrange any changes while you are away.

The use of 'flight mode' is to prevent mobiles from interfering with planes navigation and communication systems. As you are going on a ship, you needn't bother with changing modes, just ensure that 'mobile data' is switched off.

Enjoy your break, you deserve it.
