You really should eat little and often, the food is used up and burnt off quicker that way. You really shouldn't eat big meals late at night, it lays on your stomach and turns into fat overnight.
Little meals on a small plate if you want to lose weight and as deana said don't eat late at night
Sorry to be picky, but if you eat late at night it doesn't necessarily turn to fat over night, it just means that your body won't digest it as quickly and you may wake up feeling bloated, this is because yur metabolism is at its very slowest when you're asleep. You should always eat breakfast as this gets your metabolism working for the rest of the day, and try not to eat a large meal after 6pm. 3 meals a day is the recommended intake as told by health experts, and 5 portions of fruit and veg should be included.
The best thing to do would be to have cereal or porriage in the morning, a jacket potato at lunch, you wont get fed up with it cos u can have a differant filling each time and a nice dinner, and drink plenty of water inbetween or diluting juice to add a bit of flavour, also if you feel like a snack eat fruit, but if u feel like chocolate dont jus buy the biggest bar you see even a small milky way will do the trick.
