I’ve had a publishing company on the phone for about 45 minutes after I submitted a draft of the book I’m writing, basically saying they were interested , but of course there a charge to have a full editorial team working with me , it’s a reputable publishing house based in London, my dilemma is should I shell out or not, I told them I needed to think about it , I’m thinking and still I’m no nearer the answer

I know that you've already made the right decision but I decided to take another look at that email anyway: Firstly, any decent publisher would send an email in the form of a letter, and not as an advert with graphics in it. (it's hardly the personal touch, is it?) 'suggested' in the first sentence appears to be the wrong tense. ('suggest' would be better)....

Bobbi some very good advice here which I am sure you will heed. You should not have to part with any money. Find another publisher.

I read books about and from all parts of the world, including those with lots of dialect words in them. If there isn't a glossary I try to find out what the words mean but must admit a glossary is very helpful.

Good luck.
