Why do ever the accents not say MarTIN - rather than MaR-IN - why do they not say the T amongst other vowels/consonants - I may ask.

Think when they are acting - it bad acting - like Danny Devoyrs (when he speak his lines - many consonants and vowels are missing.

Only for the the subtitles (TV) for (me) corned beef - I wouldn't understand any word of the "English" word.

I thank the Lord for subtitles for my TV.

although if you're going for realism & some people speak like that in real life then ,,,
UMMMM, it's not "Ketrin" it's "Ketrin m'dook"...
i'm a souffy and really have to concentrate on northern accents (Georgie, liverpool ,scots etc ).I like reading Catherine cookson etc and find I read them in the accent. lol x
Danny Dyer is a geezer ain't 'e and that's what like he speaks.
Even Richard Osman leaves out his Ts sometimes, which surprises me. I don’t know where he comes from. He sounds ‘neutral English.’
i really try but i can't understand a word the nice Asian chap at my local shop says ...

JJ, you are right, Danny Dyer does ramp up the cockney accent to the max to a 'mockney' style.

Im a Southerner and very few people talk like him, they do drop their aiches but he goes to the extreme with the accent.

The rhyming slang is seldom used to that extent.

My Mum is in her 80s and was born and breed in East London and even she doesnt know what hes on about some of the time.

I can understand most accents but people struggle to understand ours, I dont speak Geordie slang ever, so I don’t sound like Oz in Auf Wiedersehen Pet, and very often get taken for being Welsh
//I think Danny Dyer "shoves his London accent on" just a little too much.//

I think others from other areas of the country do that too, Scousers and Brummies in particular.

//I don't think it's accents so much as sloppy pronunciation.//

I disagree. Speech, in general, is governed by geography. No one would expect a Scot or a Yorkshireman or a Devonian or a Welshman to make an effort to modify their speech.
Danny Dyer, the love child of Dot Cotton and Ray Winston:-/
Danny Dyer ,the man who loves to swear to get a reaction
Billy Connelly does that^ - but with a different accent.
But not on chat shows Naomi....and awards but then maybe I’m blinkered, I like BC but don’t like DD
Wherever people do that, they do it to get a reaction. I'm not fond of either.
