My 6 year old slippers have gone in holes, some things in life are sole destroying. Now I've got to cough up for new ones, or put two pairs of socks on. Just hate spending money. :0(

i'd make them last 'til Christmas and start making strong hints to my friends about the state of my slippers

Question Author
I would just end up with Christmas crappy ones then, you know that rubbish they just make for Christmas.
It's not like they're expensive.
I think if you've only had them 6 yrs you should take them back as faulty ;0)
Don't be pushed into hasty buying, that's the slippery slope.
Question Author
Well they were M&S at £25. that Christmas crap only lasts till new year, if your lucky.
how big are the holes? can they not be patched up?
Cut up old car tyres and bond them on to the sole. Still plenty of mileage left.

Seriously. My father told me this was done in the 1930's valleys, and probably elsewhere, if the kids had shoes in the first place. :-(

I'll call the AA see if they can put a rubber bung in them. Not to sure if I have home call out, will check.
Question Author
AA said their to busy, so I've put the slippers through the shredder, bagged it up, and selling it on Ebay as cat nip.
