I am considering buying a treadmill for the home as cheaper in long run than going to gym.

Has anybody any experience of having a treadmill at home did you continue to use, does it use a lot of electricity?

Also has anybody got any advise they can offer on power plates do they do what they say or are they just a gimmick?

Thanks

Sorry i cant answer your question, but there is a lovely lady in Chatterbank whom i think has one...she might be able to help you...her name is Craft. I'll direct her your way if i see her around.
I had a course of Power Plate ( 12 half hour sessions over a month ) I went down a trouser size and toned up. I did it whilst watching my food intake and gym classes. I would do it again but would have to save up first. It's a bit like doing Pilates whist vibrating and feels good. One reason why it is so expensive is that is was one to one tuition which I think is very important as technique is everything and it would be easy to not get full benefit or even damage yourself.
Hello pink21, I can't remember the make but I bought a treadmill back in 1997, I only got rid of it in 2007 when I moved house and it wouldn't fit anywhere. I bought the best I could afford and it was a good sturdy one. It didn't use much electricity but was a little noisy, I expect the newer ones are a bit quieter now. I used to put my headphones on and listen to music that had a good beat. As I was a bit on the large size (boob wise) I didn't run on it but walked very fast. I loved it and I do miss it now - I have gone back to walking outside but don't always feel like it, especially in the rain. I think it's a good investment providing you use it regularly. Good luck.
