how come when you get up in the morning you are always a few pounds lighter to when you went to sleep the previous night? Even if you haven't gone to the toilet, this always seems to be the case how is it possible?

Hi vicki,

I don't know about a few pounds lighter (I wish!), but even sleeping burns up calories...
You sweat in your sleep, and this loss is not replaced by food or drink.
Also, I find that if you have eaten you always seem that bit heavier!
If you are tracking your weight, it is best to do so on the same day at the same time each week!
youre lucky! I weighed myself before bed the other night. when i got up i went to the loo and afterwards weighed again. Somehow Id put on 3lbs in my sleep :(
midnight feast redcrx
lol. must be something like that crete. Cant explain it. oh and my pillow is still there in the morning :)
pillow may be there but did you check the cat ?
aha. that explains the uneaten cat food. Cats gone :)
Didn't 4getmenot eat it in her dreams the other night ?
The cat, that is !
Nah I eat people :-)
nah, she ate the cooked ribs of some bloke she found in a tent or something. Strange girl that she is.
Oh yes, how could I forget after losing those 75 under 5's - still missing !
As Ethel said above, the daily totals for water loss during a normal day add up to between 2400 and 6700 ml/day or from between about 6 to about 15 pounds per day. If
1/3 of this occurs at night, the body weight loss could be in the range of 2 to 3 pounds.
