//Jack Letts tells Sky News he doesn't mind losing his British citizenship because he doesn't want to be governed by Boris Johnson.//

Well, he’s cracked that one – but he wants to fight against Islamic radicalisation? Does anyone believe him?

Sorry to take so long to reply Naomi. There was an article in the Mail some while back (no link yet I'm afraid) which said his mental health started to deteriorate when he was 16. He was diagnosed with Tourette's syndrome and OCD. He then converted to Islam and was subsequently radicalised. So, if this is correct, not autism but not stable mentally either. A friend also spoke of his deteriorating mental health and odd, obsessive behaviour before he left the UK.
I suppose I feel sorry for any parents whose children have mental health problems. A friend of mine is in this position, so
I have seen the effect first hand. It usually leads to a lot of heartache.
I do know that I need to find a link and that, because it was the Mail, a lot of people would still question if it was the truth.
I see no particular reason to trust the honesty of his statement(s): and we have no need to.
Young, I can't disagree but I think his parents were more guilty of being naive.

I unsure how much I believe what he says. I'm probably leaning towards the truth but I doubt I'd take the risk.
I suppose anyone imprisoned for anything could say the same thing. e.g..

I stabbed someone but I'd like to be let out so I can try and convince others not to stab people.

It doesn't matter whether it's true or not. Serve your time first and then do what you'd like to do afterwards.
I would bet that Justin Trudy will welcome him with open-arms, and a bag-full of money.
// KARL, got to wonder why he didn’t do a runner before IS was on its uppers…. no? - yes no no?// Nigh

hahahaha I love deeply thought out questions !

He fled Raqqa ( when it fell) and was captured ( fleeing ) at Idlib after which he was interned.

He could be an ABer as clearly he is a few pence short of a shilling

Times yesterday ( yes I know I came a cropper over the Times cartoon yesterday ) Jack was quoted as saying he didnt regret not being British. He was always really Canadian and felt Canadian - but why were the Canadians not doing anything to get him back?

The panorama interview which was panned, the one with the carrot haired hoo-jar - is worth a watch
the refugees spoke for themselves
and just about sealed their fates
by saying they had done nothing wrong and would do it all again
