That's ok. My type of humour.
It seems there's always loads of flies about during the less cold season, especially if you eat at the pub, where they don't seem to care, or even at some restaurants.

/// Because the very mild winter has ment a lot have not died off from last year! Normally around 90 % are killed by the cold weather/// !
Read the last paragraph of 'Life Cycle' section
A Fly is lucky to live for a month, yet alone a year +

Eddie’s post are generally a source of hilarity and misinformation. Please don’t be a party pooper. :-)
Supplementary:

Why can't flies, wasps etc find the gap in an open window until sprayed with dancing death?
No problem once gassed though.
I think he may have a bijou point-ette. A mild winter enables more eggs and maggots to survive and (IIRC) speeds up hatching.
Are the flies dead/dying or alive & active. I live on the Dorset coast and had a similar problem a few months ago. Everyday I left for work with every door and window closed (and I have double glazing) No problems upstairs but there were flies on the sitting room windows and in the kitchen. It only lasted a week and I put it down to 'muck spreading' from local farmland. Years ago I lived in rural Sussex and had a real problem with cluster flies. They appeared every year and were a nightmare. I really sympathise and if it continues I would check with a pest controller to find the reason. Good luck!

Yes active mainly just in the windows
If you live close to a water course - stream, open ditch, canal - that will be a breeding ground for flies.

None of this a built up area
Hardly ever see a fly now ! Years back there were 100s of them . But as said the very mild winter has not killed them off as normally happens !
I have my patio doors open so my dog can go in and out at will and have no flies as I have a Fly Screen. Aldi, Amazon, Roberts Dias sell them for doors and windows and they are so cheap and effective. I would think about getting some if I were you tamaris.
