Final Destination freaks me out. As does Jaws!! And I haven't been able to watch The Exorcist since I first saw it 15 years ago.
The Shining, everytime !
 the exorcist, classic
Still "The Exorcist" but also "The Ring!"
..shallow grave...it's scary because it exposes the greed in all humans...
For me it has to be The Changeling. Very spooky, and those old fashioned wheelchairs scare the life out of me!

This one:

I've just, by the way, seen The Descent. Very scary.

Well being a child im not sure but probably the magic roundabout, come on a talking dog!?!? Thats scary enough.
there was a part in Stephen Kings Pet Cemetery that really freaked me out there as a women in the attic and she was really weird looking and she came right up to the screen I screamed out loud, wouldnt watch it again.

i love horror/thriller films and they usually don't have an effect on me, but...

I watched Creep recently and although the film itself didn't scare me at the time I was a bit tingly when I used the tube in London the next day when i stood near the barrier at the end of the platform.

I think when i usually watch horror films, they take place somewhere unfamiliar to me. But because this one was set on the London Underground, and because I use it every day, it just kept me thinking over scenes in the film. Brilliant!

Seven

'Care Bears the Movie'

The flashbacks, the horror, the nightmares. Petrifying. Had to undergo years of therapy. But I think I'm alright now.

I saw Creep last weekend and it scared me to death!  Especially the bit when you first see the killers face close up out of the dark - I didn't sleep at all that night!

The scariest film I've ever seen though was Poltergeist.  I cant have the "snow" on the telly even now, just in case!

I Dont like scary movies but of the few i have seen 28 days scared me the most. The thought of everyone getting that disease and there only being you and a few others without it anf getting chased everywhere. Ooooh Scary!!

Dont Look Now by Nicholas Roeg. Its not a hide behind a cushion sort of horror, however, the idea of possessing second sight without knowing it really messed with my head. The two elderly sisters also freaked me out but at least got a bit of comic light relief with the ending (dont think it was Roegs intention though but would love to know what it was, this could almost be another question!)

I love horrror films but the ending to The Ring, when she comes out of the telly really freaked me out.Theres also a british film called Alone which I wouldn't say scared me but it was very uncomftable viewing for me

Like some of you, I forbid myself to watch most horror/thriller films because I know it will have an effect on me..(i.e. unable to sleep, scared alone in my house, etc..) I have always had too big of an imagination to seperate movie from real life!

However, I did watch The Sixth Sense, and it still scares me sometimes when I suddenly feel a cold draft, or my dog is barking at nothing (or something I can't see), or when I'm alone and suddenly just feel as if someone is around me...YIKES!

saw
A very old film called the Beast Within.
