No 'could have' about it, it definitely was. Making political capital out of tragedies should be left to the, er, left.
As unfair as that seems, we should rise above it.
It's irrelevant to me which shade of tawt he was. The extreme 'anything' are all as bad as each other, and equally attractive for nut-jobs like this to latch onto.
It should be irrelevant ludwig but the problem was the left were quick out the blocks to point at the right wing. That does need to be addressed if only so we can start to understand the problem - which is actually unlikely to be anything to do with real politics.

Don't spoil it for the usual suspects here on AB who continually blast their hot air and irrational rants on the doorstep of POTUS as a right wing supporter.
True retro, but I am far right apparently so .....

Certain groups are given more protection than others it would seem, even the New Zealand terrorist attack was given more news coverage that the Sri Lanka one was.

Not only that but he has also been dubbed a supporter of white supremacy.

I wonder if there is Black supremacy in African countries? If there is we don't hear much about it.
I am sure there are Mr aog. Wasn't Malcolm X a supremacist of some description?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malcolm_X

//During the civil rights movement, Malcolm X served as the public face of the controversial group for a dozen years, where he advocated for black supremacy, the separation of black and white Americans, and rejected the notion of the civil rights movement for its emphasis on racial integration. He also expressed pride in some of the social achievements he made with the Nation, particularly its free drug rehabilitation program. In the 1950s, Malcolm X endured surveillance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for the Nation's supposed links to communism.//
Doesn't really explain why his sister was one of his victims, though?

Ah! Yes forgot about him, but was he condemned for being so, I think not, he has gone down in history as being one of the greats.

Level playing field? I think not.

Perhaps she was a right winger.
So, AOG, only right wingers used Ned Pepper's Bar? Not that we'll ever know, but my theory is that the guy wanted his sister dead (for whatever reason) and, because he was a nut job with unusual interests, he decided to randomly take a few more lives.
Are we really going to score political points from this tragedy?

Really???
It’s only an issue because the left and MSM have painted all and every mass shooter as a Trump supporting racist.

As I said you somewhere else the MSM took and report d one part of a paragraph to ‘prove’ the shooter was a Trump inspired white supremacist. But failed to report the rest of the paragraph which clearly sets out hills liberal leftist Democratic reasons for the shooting.

The left pounced on reporting Trump as the reason and as much as it would be nice to be able to turn the other cheek and be the better side, they left do it too often and over any thing that happens even when not in any way shape or form ‘Trump’ that they can’t be allowed to get away with the lies any longer.

More people believe Trump is racist, not because he is but because the left have screamed it so loudly and so often.

I think you'll find more people believe it because he demonstrates it, with relish, every time he opens his mouth, hits his keyboard, or simply stands smirking while his supporters yell racist-based slogans, and then bleats that he 'can't stop them'.
