Exercise, certain to supplements, like fish oil, avoiding some foods that aggrevate it, ( you'll need to look that up) ibuprofen or similar.. :-)
My stepmum always said red meat really aggravated it, and rain... if that helps...
Wheat affects me.
Google inflammatory foods...maybe try an illimination diet for a while.

True Tilly...my brain is turning to mush.
My brother in law eliminated red meat and acidic fruit such as oranges an raw tomatoes. He takes Omega 3 fish oil capsules and says they really help. I took glucosamine and chondroitin for several years when I a had clicky and squelchy knee. Don't know if it's a coincidence but 30 years on I have neither.
Well that's shed some light on things.
