Hi - I need a bit of an emergency hair repair! My hiar is hi-lighted, but also, I straighten it with GHDs at least once every other day. Its become a little bit singed though at the front and last night when I got out of the shower when it ws wet some of it started breaking off!! Its quite fine at the front and I prob shouldn't straighten it there but I cant help it! Anyway, I'm off to boots at lunch and just wondered if any one could recommend a product - like an intensive conditioner (not one that you would use every day) that i could try out to help my poor hair?

Hi, I use my straighteres every day!

I always spray my hair with pantene's Ice Shine Heat Defence Spray. most brands sell heat defence spray if you don't like Pantene.

my hair used to snap off at the bottom with continued use of the straighteners but I don't have that problem anymore.
try charles worthington dream hair! its fantastic it is a bit expensive but is good!!!!
click on products and dream hair! trust me its the best thing for damaged hair i should no lol :o) hope this helpsx

Thanks for your answers Lore & Sam!

Lore - i use Lee Stafford or Mark Hill heat protection spray - obviously not working too well at the moment though!!

Sam - which products do you use from Dream hair? Which is the best or are they all good?
aww I can't use Lee Stafford - that stuff destroyed my hair.

Sam's right tho, Charles Worthigton's hair care range is really good but expensive and if you wash & style your hair frequently, you're setting yourself up for a large hair care debt each month! I just treat myself every so often now.
I use 'John Freida, step 5, finishing serum'. It makes my hair so so so soft but I don't dye mine! I am a brunette!

My friend has that problem with her hair. She gets highlights and straightens it everyday and I think the peroxide kills it! I straighten my hair every day but its fine!

You could also try the lightweight version of john freida frizease serum and a heat defence spray.
Try a hot oil conditioner and sometimes use coconut oil from Superdrug, rub in and wrap hair in a warm towel.
Hope it gets better.

Stylinsam - i bought the CW dream hair heat protection cream thingy. I also bought an intensive leave in conditioner from Loreal. I'll use that conditioner once in a while and then use the CW stuff all the time when straightening.

Thanks for all your help everyone!
