need for speed most wanted, freezing

when i race one of the people my screen freezes, and then i crash, it does it every 10 mins or if i go over 170mph, can anyone tell me why??

Sounds like your graphics card cant keep up. Or maybe you have too little ram.

seconded,at higher speeds your pc is having to process more data and basically cant keep up.compare your pc with minimum specs of the game and see how they compare.
