/// This liberal idea presupposes that nothing needs to be done. That migrants can kill, plunder and rape with impunity because their rights as migrants have to be protected. ///

/// He added: 'Every crime must have its punishment. The liberal idea has become obsolete. It has come into conflict with the interests of the overwhelming majority of the population.' ///

^That doesn't address what he said either. I think the question here is, is there some truth in what he's saying?

May should be more concerned about the almost daily killings in her own capital, than one particular one that happened in Salisbury.
ANOTHEOLDGIT, there could have been any number of deaths or serious medical conditions as a result of the Salisbury incident. Does that not bother you?

There could have been, but there wasn't, shall we now move on?
The most effective and persuasive misinformation tend to have an element of truth upon which to hang the fantasy. Prove where any country's law allows immigrants to 'kill, plunder and rape with impunity'. As is not uncommon, sometimes poor interpretation and practice causes temporarily problems until correct procedure is clarified, but that does mean that anyone can 'kill, plunder and rape with impunity'. Putin is just being a bumhole.
...DOES *NOT*...

"...would you like him, or someone like him, to be in power here?"

Yes but in the meantime we'll just have to put up with Boris, liberal softie that he is.
You've hit a new intellectual low with that remark Jack- you want to be taken seriously when you advocate having a leader like Putin? That demonstrates either complete loss of contact with reality or astounding naivety and forgive me for saying I don't think the state sponsored rounding up and abuse of gay people is something most of the UK would be too keen on.

No, but there is certainly some now living in the UK that would be very keen.

Lacking a cogent argument as ever Jack I see and resorting to nasty insults because you can't intellectually back up your own prejudices so that they make any sense to anyone but yourself. I pity you, I really do.

I’m no fan of his but he’s quite succinct in his appraisal.
"There could have been, but there wasn't, shall we now move on?"

I will remind you of your response every time you ask a "what if" question.

The point is it is only by good fortune there were not more deaths or casualties.
Putin if offering a logical fallacy of the 'false dichotomy' type.

He talks about rape, killing, etc. but does not talk about the social injustices that occur under his rule and does not acknowledge that there is a middle ground between the two ideologies.
