OK...hypothetical question. A person defends himself against someone. The attacker plays the victim and makes an assault allegation against the person he attacked. He has some friends who will back up his account. The other guy is arrested and interviewed. It just so happens he also does martial arts. Should he tell this to the Police or is it not relevant if no martial arts techniques were used whilst he defended himself?

Doesn't sound very hypthetical - sounds like it has happened.

It depends on the injuries sustained by parties. If they both have similar injuries then the police will have to refer it to the CPS for prosecution. Probably nothing will happen. As long as he has used reasonable force to defend himself it doesnt matter whether he used jujitsu, kung foo ludo or origami with bonsai as long as it was reasonable.
erm I think he needs a lawyer....
