overall, including all dishes, which is better for you. indian or chinese?

Chinese food is lower in fat than Indian food so is also lower in calories generally.
The question is too vague and quattro's answer is too general (generally) :-)
he/she did ask "overall" - i would give my opinion of chinese being better for you - some dishes (sweet and sour, lemon chicken, anything in batter) can be high in calories but a typical chowmein is about 1/3 to 1/4 the calories of a typical curry. on the other hand, a chicken tikka (not masala - just the tikka bits) or a chicken tandoori is quite low in calories (but these are the few exceptions to the norm of curries being high in calories and fat)
