I have a rasberry bush outside my house. Its just starting to sprout rasberrys but my problem is that they all seem to be hard and very small. The plant is overgrown and there is a lot of weeds swamping it. I want to know how to get the most out of it and make it sprout proper this year, can i save it?

You could try deweeding and pruning it. I think raspberries fruit on last year's wood, if so a hard prune would mean no berries next year.

However, I'd say that if harvest was the priority, you'd probably be better investing a new bush (cane) as the newer varieties usually fruit better.
