criminal convictions usa

i got myself a visa when i went to new york last year because i had been arrested 3 years before and i wanted to make sure i would get in and not put on the first flight home, i was granted a ten year visa.
since then i have been convicted of a further offence of conspiracy to steal and got a 21 month custodial sentance of which i served 6 months. i need to know if i have to apply for a new visa or if i can still travel on the one i already have?? please any help would be appreciated as i can't find any answers on the usa embassy site

at a guess, I would say a visa is a visa. If you can't find specific instructions anywhere saying that a new conviction invalidates your current visa, go ahead and travel with it. But I don't know for sure; others may be better informed.

Not an answer I'm afraid, but a follow on question from yours! I was always under the impression that if you needed to apply for a visitor's visa, then it was a visa for each time you travelled.....is that not the case?

no i travelled down to the embassy to get a proper one because of my first arrest. if you don't have any convictions then you just have one for each time you travel

I dont think they will find out, they only record drug and mega convictions,say nowt, just go, after all u have a visa.
Just stay out of bother till u go.
