Just thought i would write this as i have jsut got back from my holiday in the states, I knew nothing about the visa and criminal records so i was panicking a bit and almost didnt go.
Spoke to someone who has attempted murder charges and he told me to get on the plane and go, so i did
My convictions are possession with intent on class A and B drugs
i sailed through no problems at all, and didnt declare a thing.
They only know what u tell them, so if you dont declare it they dont know
So anyone going on holiday to states dont think abot it again and just go and tick NO on vwp form and have a great holiday

Ooooh - you naughty person, but what a relief for others.
Yes I agree with you now but unfortunately before I joined answerbank I believed everyone who told us we needed a visa and we travelled all the way from Wakefield to London and paid out a fortune not to mention the stress. Mind you I think it could have been worth it because I would have been terrified as immigration if not
god luck to you, I know plenty of people with convictions who just tick the no box and sail through, its when you falter or ask them what to do that they start an investigation.
hope you had a good holiday and will go again.
isnt it lying though?

god help you if you get caught like my friend

never allowed back into the states. got in trouble over there over something that was not her fault and was kicked straight out after three days f 3 week holiday . cost thousands and thousands as insurance invalid due to er lying on forms
