My Wife is about to start her own business up teaching pre-school children music, does she have to contact any agency to declaire the name of her business as this is in her own name and is only for about 10 hrs a week. what does she have 2 do by Law?????

She has to inform the inland revenue that is working on a self employed basis.

She must do this within three months of starting or she will face heavy penalties.

Even if she does not earn enough to pay tax.

Your wife should keep records of all incomes and any expenses she incurs, with receipts.

If she is working from home, check the deeds and inform the council. She will need insurance.
