I’ve got OH and Dad within a week of each other.

OH and I are hard core saving up for our up coming trip away and wedding so he said I don’t need to really get him anything. I got him a shower gel and I’m going to bake him a cake. But I feel like I should get him a small something but I don’t know what. I’m a bit strapped for cash just now. Any ideas welcome.

Dad after yesterday I’ve decided to get him a Dash Cam. He too is getting a cake.

Do you think that’s enough?

I think your OH will understand the lack of a pricey gift - and he is benefiting in the long run, with you, so no issue there.

I think a dash cam and a cake for dad is perfectly fine - I would understand if it was one of my girls and they were saving for something.
How about an IOU for a experience whilst you are away with OH

Thank you Andy.

I just wasn’t sure. Plus dad threw me a curve ball this year and got a season ticket for the speedway so can’t pay his entry. I’ll buy his chips ;)

That’s a good idea RR. Thank you :)
Dads eh, you can't live with 'em …

… well, that's it really!!!

Lol!!

I am sure he will enjoy his presents, I am always pleased to receive any gift from my family, and I sure he will be too.
It's the thought that counts.

Very true Andy!

It is Spathy! I wasn’t sure until this morning but after the idiot in the Audi Estate I think this is the perfect present. My dad doesn’t often swear but last night the air was blue.
The nicest gift I ever received came from someone who couldn't afford to buy a gift. It was a framed group photograph of four generations of the females in my family (taken at a wedding), the only picture ever taken of us all together. It takes pride of place in my home. How about a selfie of you and your dad in a pretty frame?
"but after the idiot in the Audi Estate I think this is the perfect present."

Yes i saw that, stupid fool was racing a Bentley? How awful.

Dash cam is a good gift.. something i can say any driver would want, but no one wants to buy one lol. If someone bought me one without me asking for one i'd be very happy.

To answer the OP yes i think it's enough because your thoughts have spilled out into AB proving you care, so regardless if it's enough or not it's what you can manage at the current moment whilst saving for your personal life and you're giving it some thoughts, so it's plenty.

I like that idea Naomi! Thank you.

Thank you Spathy :) I like the idea too. I’ll ask for one for my birthday I think. Being a new driver and all.
We don't buy each other presents, for xmas or birthdays. My son always buys me a present but thats because I make him lunches and he doesn't pay rent!!
In fairness he doesn't pay rent as he rarely stays here.
