don`t l know that ethel ... l`m happy for them to keep using it, on their own desktop.. it just pi$$�s me off that i have to "close" it before i can use MY desktop when i log on,thanks anyway.... any other suggestions
Click Start... Run then type "msconfig" without the quotes into the box and click OK.
Click the Startup tab and locate MsnMsgr. If the location is listed as starting as HKCU, then uncheck the box and you should be done! The CU bit of HKCU stands for Current User, so if you are logged in using your account, this should disable MSN Messenger just for you and not for your kids logon accounts.
