Which End Do You Start.....

to peel a banana? I have been starting the wrong end for over sixty years. Look at how primates do it and they always start from the opposite end to the stalk. Try it - it is clearly the easiest way to unzip a banana!

That's how I have always done it. Lets you use the stalk as a handle.

Yes. I read that also and I tried it. It works...Amazing; however, it's hard to break the other habit of doing it.

Also, until I started to travel to the Caribbean, I didn't know that banana clusters grow up. In other words, the stalk ends are at the bottom.

I'll have to buy some bananas. Never heard of that before. Everywhere in the world I've been where bananas grow I've always seen people peel them from the stalk end. I'll give it a go though!

I've never peeled them from the stalk end and I have no idea why except I usually find the easiest way of doing things. It's a natural talent I have or you could call it laziness;-)

not had a nanna for yonks, they seem to turn black overnight and go straight in bin !!

Oh no minty - you need black bananas to make banana loaf and banana scones. Too much food going in to bins, if you only need 1, just buy 1.

Black bananas are sweeter. Might look bad on the outside but once it's peeled it's fine.

I used to love banana sandwiches.

Bananas aren't worth eating until the skin is at least dark brown all over - no banana taste while skins still yellow.
