Two people died. An OAP and a young child.

Turns out the 80 year old driver had worked a 70 hour week.

Who in Their right mind would think that was a good idea, or remotely acceptable. The bus driver also had dementia problems that were not diagnosed at the time.

The Bus Company are f@cing an hefty fine, and rightly so.

very remiss of the company..tragic and unnecessary
I think the bus company were more to blame. The driver was retired but had done at least two 75 hour weeks before the accident. He'd had several accidents before, had had his driving checked and been given a warning. Why on earth was he still behind the wheel?
I've just read- on the BBC - that the bus company have been fined over 2 million pounds. (PS I'm hoping someone will post a link!)
Thanks, hc4361. I don't think this thread will become live again, something about old threads not showing in Latest Posts?
