Ah Chris couldn't understand the relevance but having reread the thread realised you clip was for the other Tony lol
Patsy.
You must live in the posh end of Sheffield, Melv. There are too many syllables in 'oreeit' for the folks around Ecclesfield, where I lived; they don't waste that much breath there! (There are hints of the Barnsley accent in the way that they speak in Ecclesfield).

Cloverjo:
'Reet' (or, as Melv would have it, 'Oreeit') is short for 'Alright' which, as you've suggested is always answered by exactly the same word, so it seems that Sheffielders have something in common with your part of the country.
Thanks for that wonderful Hale & Pace clip, Patsy. They were (and continue to be) much-maligned by other comedians but I loved their style of humour.
Chris, reet is used when saying it was right.
Thas been in Suffolk too long, lad.

Buen. I must admit, I find them funnier now than I did several years ago. I appreciate their talent now. Very funny.
I love faggots, Tonyav, but I can't say the same for the Black Country accent.

We need to hear the Suffolk accent more though. Perhaps the next James Bond could be a Saarfuk bor?
