what do your friends mean to you ! are your cyber friends better than your real friends?

iv met lots of lovely people on her loobie, whiskey, pinkfizz, 4getmenot, redcrx, raysparx the list is endless and they are all great !
i think personally when you have a cyber friend its better as you dont see eachother therefore do not argue, fall out as it would be silly to fall out over a computer txt message phone call etc !
but your friends you see every day week 2 weeks etc can be sometimes to much! dont get me wrong i love my friends to bits but with cyber friends its just fun fun fun!!
do u agree ??

i enjoy being on here and normally just have fun (except for my answer to the czech as i bit back) but i love the support other aber's show each other. its great to read other people's thought's and opinions and get a different perspective that you may not get with 'real life' friends

Me and my friends hardly ever argue. Since we left school we've seen less of each other which really has brought us closer togther.

I love my friends to bits - and nothings better than all 6 of us meeting for a coffee and gossiping!!

or even better - having a drink in wetherspoons!!
Hi sam,

You are very kind,it is a nice feeling having friends,if it be on here or in your working/family type life, I am just the same on here as I am with my friends,Off of here I have about 6 really good friends that I would trust with my life, and I know if I needed something sorted out or done,it would be,my bestest friend is mrs sparx, I have loved her since she was 16 she is now 56,she would die for me,and I would for her, take care sam, you are a real sweetie and I am proud to have you as a friend, Ray xxx
i cannot possibly imagine how you could consider internet friends more valuable or better than your real life friends?
how is that even possible?!

how can you value people you have not met more than those who are your real friends?
its easy Jessybean, when you are older friends are spread far and wide. Its not like when you were at school and all your friends lived in the area. As we get older we get used to keeping in touch by emails, letters and phone calls.
OK so friends online are not the same as friends that you meet up with they are similar.
If you met someone in a pub or a shop and briefly chatted you would probably decide if a friendship was likely and continue from there.
I have made many close friends via the internet, people with same interests as me or just people with similar outlook on life. Why should the fact that we may not see each other mean that its not a friendship?
Sam was just pointing out the benefits of having such friendships.

thanks redcrx and ray you nearly made me cry then! you big softie!xx mwah
I'm not so sure? for example, I had a myspace space,as it was recommended to me by my daughter. I was careful who I invited, and even then, I never heard from any of these people once I invited them. I made it plain I was there for friends. And those bands....got sick of them trying to have me add them to my friends list? I think they and many of the people on myspace are there to "use" you just to add to their list of "friends",and not for making friends.. Maybe this place is better. Anyways, the topics and replies here are quite entertaining!!! Despite this bad experience on myspace, I do think cyber friends can be quite nice :) Ta
The only experience I've had with 'cyber friends' was on myspace. My daughter recommended it,but to be honest, I made my intentions plain from the start I was there for friends, but when I did invite people to myspace, I never heard from them again, and those bands kept on & on asking to be invited..I'm the sort that if you write me, I WILL write back! I have plenty of real-life friends,I just thought it would be fun to have a myspace-space..it disappointed me, as I think most people were just "using" you to add to their "friends" listing. This place seems interesting-the topics and replies have been pretty entertaining :) I do think a person can enjoy cyberfriends, despite my experience with myspace. Ta
