Just a Question on if you have been caught speeding, who sends the letter out, is it the DVLA or the county council? thanks in advance!

if you were caught by camera,its the police,the dvla and council have nothing to do with speeding.
Most areas now operate what are known as �Safety Camera Partnerships�. These are made up of representatives from:

The Local Council
The Local Police
The Highways Agency
Her Majesty�s Court Service

The Partnerships are responsible for deciding upon camera locations, their maintenance and for processing transgressions detected by them.

Because of the wording contained within various legislation under which motorists are prosecuted or are offered fixed penalties, the documentation sent out is usually signed �The Chief Constable� or something similar.
