Do Cats Playfight?

Got a cat that seems to play fight with this other neighbour cat only outside. Would not let the other cat in my house. They usually take it in turns to chase eachother but they rarely get into a propper scrap and there is no hissing or “foul play” as you could say.. seems pretty harmless when i’m watching them but do you think if i went off they’d have a propper battle?

My cat usually calls for this other cat to come and “play”.. they are seen together often

Funny I took you for a dog man spath, I have always had dogs mostly Labrador,my neighbors have 2 cats they are beautiful ,think they are Burmese or something like that.

Yes, my cats play fight all the time - it rarely turns into anything serious, unless another cat comes along and causes trouble.

They never squeel like they do in a propper fight, and they do kind of take turns so i’ll assume it’s all fun and games

My cat and a neighbour's cat used to hide under cars and run and case each other. So yes, some do like to.playfight.

Sometimes from the amount of fur flying it's hard to tell the difference, a three way play fight is even more fun

Yep...they love a bit of play fighting.
