From my 30+ years in the industry, I know this is a daft question, but on the other hand, things move on, and I'm not the expert I once was, so...

I want to get an App Store App (actually a Keyboard), but I'm not on the www on my smart phone.

How can I get the App and install it on my smart phone WITHOUT signing up to www access?

Or, can I modify the existing Samsung keyboard so that inverted commas and commas are on the same bank as the letters?

Pushing it, I know.

I doubt you can get an app unless you have internet access on your phone. It has to be downloaded from somewhere, but maybe Buenchico has a trick or two up his sleeve !
Surely if it is a Samsung phone then it is Android you are running not iOS? (iOS is for Apple phones only)

To download any app just go to the Google PlayStore and search for the app and download and install it.

The PlayStore will be an icon on your Samsung phones desktop.

But how do I download with no www access?
Do you mean your phone has no "data" access (which is not quite the same thing as no www access)?

If you have a smartphone what sort of contract do you have because even the most basic Smartphone contract will probably have some sort of data allowance.

Make sure "mobile data" is turned on on your phone then download the app.
If you Do Not have internet access then it's obvious that you cannot download from the Web.

Hans.
This is how you could maybe do it - however note step one involves downloading files from the er internet :-)
Unless you can get hold of the app files another way you’re stuffed

Guilbert. Expand on that. I have NO internet access, so how can I access an App Store or download anything?

We bought the phones purely to use as phones/texting devices.
Do you have internet at home? I'm assuming you have as you're on AB.

Connect your phone to your wifi.

If you don't have internet at home and are perhaps using free wifi from somewhere, then use it with your phone.
Question Author
Tuvok. Yes, home is ‘normal’ - wifi, ethernet, desktops, all the usual.

I’ll try what you suggest, And see if I can then connect to a Google Play site to get their g keyboard.

Thanks for the obvious answer, which I’d missed!
