Have you ever seen a film that disturbed you (or played on your mind) after viewing it?
I know a couple of people who have said that they would never watch The Exorcist again as they found it unnerving. Ive seen The Exorcist at least a dozen times and cant fathom out why a story of religious myths (Catholic priests v possessed girl) would unnerve anyone anymore than a story of talking animals and evil witches as in the Narnia films.
Personally, I enjoy horror type films but recognise that they are fantasy. Got to say though that Hostel 3 played on my mind for a bit after watching it for the first time, though Ive seen it since but knew what the storyline was so knew what to expect.

Just curious as to what other ABers find disturbing in films.
Thanks.

That's fascinating Tali, I would really very much like to see that x
I'm a bit of a wuss but found Whatever Happened to Baby Jane quite disturbing.
kvalidir - highly unlikely you will be able to see it.Ona smiliar vein
have you seen the Japanese film Men Behind the Sun -that's brutally realistic.
No fiction disturbs me. It's not real so I'm not bothered by it
Well the caveat in his will was not to be screened until 2024 Tali, so I'll live in hope of at least special screenings. I like it a lot when performers get out of their usual box, especially comedians because there is something inherently sad about people who are so observational usually, that's why I think so many are depressive and difficult socially. I really hope they do screen it, I think it's important since he moved so far away form his usual agenda.
Crikey Tali, just read about Men Behind the Sun, I don't think I could watch that at the moment, I think that would shred me, but I'll bear it in mind for the future x
