I think the calibre of a Luger Pistol is 9mm but Winchester Rifles varied : 44-40, 38-40, 32-20 and 22 calibre.

Update . . . . there is /was a Winchester Magnum 9mm (which I think is a pistol).

Thanks. I know nothing about guns so maybe we need to look elsewhere.
Or maybe bubster needs to clarify whether the clues relate to two different quizes or sections of a quiz- i.e. what are we looking for

Thanks for the update. I'm still not 100% sure as there presumably are other guns that were/are 9mm too but it's the best answer so far i think.

It'd help if bubser could tell us whether he/she is happy with 9 Men's Morris or whether we are looking for a place name (Winchester).

Just to complicate things, mally, Mamyalynne (who seems to know most of these quizzes ) seemed happy with 9 Men's Morris.
Perhaps best to leave it up to Bubster now before we spend any more time on it

I think I can see where part of the confusion lies.

The quiz is all Number related - however it is in sections.
