Following on from the question below, I watched some of the top 50 comedy sketches the other night. Now it''s probably my age but I just don't see the attraction with Blackadder or Monty Python. Anyone else agree or am I the only one who doesn't find them that funny? Yet, at every comedy award, show or list they are always near the top.

Which comedy shows / comedians do you just comeplety not see the attraction?

I dont enjoy all the old ones....

although with the exception of Fawlty Towers and Only Fools and Horses...

I love all the following...

Ricky Gervais (anything and everything with him)
Some Alan Partridge
Jimmy Carr
Catherine Tate
Chris Rock (stand up)
Eddie Murphey (stand up)
the least funny show ever has to be last of the summer wine , but what was that show with girls in it trying to be a bit like Dominic wots-is-face pulling stunts on people , it was a bit like titty bang bang i suppose but it wasn't even "so bad it's Good " it was just horse-s**t. And that program on itv on a saturday afternoon trying to be a bit candid camera , putting fake mice under benches & that (Hilarious !!!!) - not.
u talking about smack the pony??

I used to love that...

and 3 non blonds....!!
peter kay what a god! just been watchin "that peter kay thing" the guy is a genius! "I love the smell of raspberry in the morning"
I think gazza meant 3 non-blondes and he's right what a load of sh*t it was. Those "ooh let's play tricks on the unsuspecting proles" things are lazy, uncreative rubbish for the undemanding.
i liked 3 non blonds!

And Peter Kay is a genius - his stand up is amazing!
I've never got The League of Gentleman; I also couldn't stand Bo' Selecta and don't find any of the old, working-men's clubs 'comics' funny- Bernard Manning, Jimmy Tarbuck, Jim Davison, Chuby Brown, Frank Carson etc.

The Office, Peep Show, Alan Partridge, Peter Kay, Scrubs and Curb Your Enthusiasm are, on the other hand, superb.
