Well, IMO he wouldn't have offered an obviously unsatisfactory deal. Trouble is, he might have tried to sue 'em. I think we'd probably have seen less awkwardness from the EU as he wouldn't have been seen as an easily manipulated "negotiator" that one could just refuse any reasonable offer from (assuming they got offered one) and expect him to collapse.

I haven’t mentioned the complexity of our obligations – and I’ve made no claims, testable or otherwise. I've simply said that in my opinion Trump would respect the result of the referendum and deliver Brexit. Your imagination is running amok again.
