Well, the parade ground full of soldiers didn't seem to be much use.

Shotguns scatter at distance so I wouldn't think so particularly. Not really anything I've given any thought to x
If it was a normal military parade, the soldiers probably would not have had any live ammunition.
Ken - Yes, I know but it tickled me that they scattered at the first sign of danger.
Reminded me a little of the first time i went to N Ireland in '73. Twenty odd soldiers travelling from Aldergrove Airport to Belfast City Center, in the back of a soft skinned 4-tonner, armed to the teeth with their SLRs - and 19 rounds of blank ammo!
