The term 'crime scene' has a specific meaning, as it did in this case, so you misused it in inferring that because fraud - a crime - is still being investigated, that the site is a 'crime scene', when clearly it no longer is.
The place where a fraud takes place is irrelevant so it would never be a 'crime scene'.
