I have been suffering from this for a few days so yesterday I went to the chemists in the Co-op. I asked for something for cistitis.
The assistant asked if it was for me, I said yes it was.
She asked me how old I was. I replied 75.
She said I'm sorry I cannot sell it to you. I asked her why.
We are not allowed to sell it to people under the age of 16 and over 65.
I asked are people over 65 and under 16 not going to have cistitis then?
Apparently we have to go to the doctors to get a prescription. How ridiculous is this.
I left shaking my head in amazement. I then went to Boots. I asked for some there. They were out of stock but would order some, it would be available this afternoon. I went to collect it with an idea in my head, if I was questioned I would say it was for my daughter who's car had broken down!
Anyway I went in the shop. Asked for the preordered item. I was served with it, no questions at all. How can two chemist have different rules?

planes & bikes are not built for sex ;)
It would be most odd to see them try I agree.
I see Tambo. The bike I've done but I'm not a milehigher yet :)
Hi, Kval.....this is all in my mind...it's a placebo.....It only worked because I thought it would....
Lambing shed on the Monday.....three days at home leaking urine and blood....
Made it into school on the Friday with pads and a grumpy face.....the pain and heat....so I found the name of a homeopath...phoned him and got a 4pm appointment....with no hope but it was in desperation....

Long appointment and I know folk say it's the attention you're getting...I hated the talking bit....

He gave me a pill and I went home.....I sat in the conservatory...curled up as you do with agonising cystitis....and the awful feeling slowly went.....MrG who was always a disbeliever commented on how the bloating from my cystitis was disappearing...
Everything ceased...the pain....the needing to pee...the bloating...the bleeding....
A week later I felt a bit uncomfotable...phoned him and at no charge he gave me a phial of "no good all in the mind pills" to take if syptoms reappeared...

I had cystitis so badly I would leak blood and urine...until I saw the homeopath....

I know it doesn't work....folk tell me so.....but I'm cystitis free and it is soooooo good!...No more ruined holidays...no more sitting on a donut ring on a long journey......just bliss!.....Gx
That's fabulous Gness, homeopathy does seem to work, my mother use it a lot. I tend not to take antibiotics for anything if I can avoid it and this did spontaneously resolve, mind you my immune system is usually banging, I very rarely get anything but I'm actively trying to avoid it ruining our all too brief holiday in Donegal in case it recurs. I think it's a getting used to another person's intimacy sometimes, so hopefully it will just not bother this time because I don't usually get it, at least not often, unless Tambo's right and he is a health hazard but I somehow doubt it :) x
Tambo is wrong! And honeymoon cystitis isn't caused by an "infected" partner either.....
Keep some powders by you.....just in case so you don't need to resort to antibiotics.....that's just a circle of bloating...more cystitis.....more antibiotics....and....

Have fun!!!!!....Gx
No I know, but it something to tease him over in any event , and I'll certainly try to enjoy myself, hoping we have time to see a lot, he has Irish ancestry so he's interested x
Irish ancestry?......Perfect!.... :-)
Well amongst others, he's a bit of a mongrel but I'll cling onto that bit 'til my Dad likes him, nervous as hell about them meeting :)
Cystitis is a nightmare Caran. My sympathies.
Just tell your dad that I said mongrels are always the best....always!...x
Did you mean pink and floppy, Dave? ;-)

He's American kvali? Of course he's a mongrel! I am...lol!
All those pesky immigrants...
