I thought 14 d oil was an anagram of tribunal and c for carbon, which would be lubricant, so is 14d lubricate.

Gill - IMO - if you're sending it in, I'd put 'lubricaTE' & 'knoT' so that the grid makes sense, ignoring the clue given @ 14d.

If they accept their mistake, that should be honoured, but I can't speak to that with authority.

Agree with you, Gill, it can’t be lubricate as that doesn’t fit with the anagram, they’ve made a mistake
