Whilst passing through Edge Hill station (left hand side facing forward) there is a large piece of grafiti that says "Pies". Also there used to be the same thing at Birkenhead that could be read from the Pier Head at Liverpool.

What does it all mean?

I'm pretty sure "The Pies" were / are a Liverpool band.
Their graffiti name is in several locations around Liverpool including on the tarmac at the old Speke Airport site so people can see it as they take off and land.
