I'd like to find more information and pictures about the huge building on the Seacombe side of the banks of the river Mersey which has 'PIES' writen on the side. And also the building on the same side (a bit further down to the right of the pies one if you're looking at them from the Liverpool side) which is grey concrete and has two massive (what look like) air conditioning vents either side of it. Does anyone have any information, what they're for, when they were built, or any links to sites about them ?

Sounds as though you are referring to the ventilation shafts for the Mersey Tunnel. I used to work there many moons ago, oh happy days!
