/// She pointed out that many Nigerians in UK jails had families in Britain who would have the right to maintain their family lives in the country under the Human Rights act. ///

Additionally, the UK authorities would have no way of ensuring the prisoners sent to serve their sentences in the new wing would stay there.

/// Apart from Nigeria, the Government struck a deal in 2015 to build a prison in Jamaica to house repatriated Jamaican prisoners, who account for five per cent of the overall prison population of England and Wales. ///

/// However, this subsequently fell through after Jamaica refused to foot the bill for its running costs. ///

Families of Nigerians presently in UK gaols, who could be moved back to their own country to serve their sentence, are at liberty to buy a plane ticket and maintain their family lives in the country of the convict. It would be wrong to use this as an excuse not to move the convict back to their homeland and their fellow countrymen.
corbynistas would disagree, lost labour vote, even a criminal vote is a good vote, hey bring the family over and they can vote labour to.
