These are a fascinating look into the past...early 20thc photos of immigrants and Black Americans.
I like seeing the contrast of the black and white originals with the colouriser's rendition...via research...of what they may have looked like and worn.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.A million years ago, back in the mid-70s, i attended a 3 month photography course at RAF Cosford in preparation for a stint on the Regimental Intelligence Section during our forthcoming 4 month tour of Northern Ireland. Everything we did in those 3 months was black and white. Not because the army were too tight to run to colour film, but because there is far more contrast and detail in black and white. Even today, i much prefer looking at b&w photographs.
