Dorset Horn is the best for Lamb
if it's hornless i'd go for down

Thanks Lynne, but is it hornless, the name suggests not, it does however produce two gestations per annum

1 : an English breed of sheep with very large and in the ram much-coiled horns that has a close-textured fleece of medium-length wool and that has been much used for hothouse lamb production because of the early breeding of the ewes and the high percentage of twin lambs

Down it is

Dorset Down - Developed in the 19th century from crossing Southdown rams onto Hampshire and Wiltshire breeds they are polled with a white fleece and black face. Famous for breeding out of season so they can produce early lambs.
The Dorset Down is renowned for producing early maturing lambs from grass, making them ideal for organic and other extensive farming systems.
