I have chosen, and changed a little, this poem by Margaret Mead because it gathers together so many of us here and our thoughts about Mikey....a gentleman who shared his love of life with us.....x

Remember me:
To the living, I am gone.
To the sorrowful, I will never return.
To the angry, I was cheated.
But to the happy, I am at peace,
And to the faithful, I have never left.
I cannot be seen, but I can be heard.
So if you stand upon a Cornish shore, gazing at a beautiful sea - remember me.
And if you look in awe, at a mighty Brecon forest and its grand majesty - remember me.
As you look upon a flower and admire its simplicity - remember me.
Remember me in your hearts, your thoughts, your memories of the time we shared,
the times we cried, the times we sparred, the times we laughed.
For if you always think of me, I will never be gone.

I shall think of Mikey often....but always when I'm in the wine aisle of Lidl.......

Please raise a glass at 7pm......Gx

To Mikey and Willy . God bless you both. R.I.P.
That was lovely, Gness. When I walk down the wine aisle at Lidl, I’ll have a little giggle in memory of Mikey. Cheers, Mike and Willy. May your journey be happy and peaceful.
Beautiful and fitting poem, thank you Gness. I raised my glass of red at 7pm with my meal, but it calls for a second glass thinking quietly of Mikey and Willy at peace.

Mikey's passing has touched so many of us, hasn't it....it's made me so tearful and I only knew him on AB......

I try to make myself look at the happy times when someone dies and I am thinking of them....
I have a vision of emails from Lidl store managers to head office....

"What's happening? People are standing looking at our wine offers and starting to shed a tear?????".....x

LMAO
A lovely and fitting poem, gness.
That's beautiful, gness.

Mikey has been mentioned with love and sorrow over on the Crossword Forum (not AB). He touched people there too.
