Apart from the diversity angle what valuable contribution did Ore Oduba make to Britain's 100 favourite walks, presented by that well known walker Julia Bradbury?

//rambling the countryside isn't a hobby that black people seem to take part in //

Interesting take on this, not that I'm surprised to find that is your thought process.

you are wrong there aog. There are many walking clubs with mixed people, black, white and all colours in between. There is also a ramblers club can't remember the name but they were featured on the one show a while ago that were all black men and women. They love getting out of the urban environment and getting back to nature, what is wrong with that.

This saddens me as I cannot walk far, but I used to love strolling for hours and hours.
It can be frustrating David, hard to accept limitations but I do enjoy watching people explore and enjoy our fabulous countryside.
i too find it galling that i can't wander any longer, age and infirmity just seem to catch up with you..
No response as yet - oh well.
It didn't need two presenters, one would have been enough, waste of money.

I was only coming to my conclusion on the fact that there were none in the programme, except of course Ore Oduba, who did no walking.

A few years ago I well remember reading a report that a County Council, put on free buses to ferry ethnic minorities into the Peak District, so as to encourage more to enjoy the countryside.

Satisfied now Mamyalynne?

Since I take more of an active part on AB rather than just sitting on the fence making remakes on other's threads like yourself, it takes me a little time to get round to all my threads.

Yes thank you.

I shall endeavour to be more a active ABer.
^ a more active, sorry.

Think the wheel fell off my fence there.

never mind we know what you mean..
I like to correct if I can.

He does so like to prod me with a pointy stick - still giving some other poor soul a rest :-)
no idea why, after all you didn't say anything untoward..
I don't worry about it now.
